kheerganga Trekking


Kheerganga Trek :

Access : From Bhuntar to Kasol. From Kasol to barsheni. Barsheni to Kheerganga
Maximum altitude : Mid May to October.
Region : 13000 ft.
Grade : Easy.
Season : Round the year except monsoon.
Duration : 03 Days


Kheer Ganga lies in the extreme end of Parvati valley and the last inhibited village while trekking to pin valley via Pin-Parvati pass. Kheer Ganga remains snow-covered during winters and only get temporary settlement during summers. Kheer Ganga is a holy place with a hot water spring, small temple of Lord Shiva and a bathing tank. It make a rare combination for any trekker to bath in hot spring water when everything is covered by snow.


Day 1Reach Kasol

Reporting time at Kasol is flexible and you can reach anytime after 10 AM. Almost all the buses reach Bhuntar by 10 AM in the morning and from Bhuntar it takes around 1 - 1.5 hours to reach kasol. Accommodation will be provided in dormitory style comfortable facility with attached washroom (In Hosteler rooms at kasol). Once you settle down and freshen up then you are free to explore Kasol market, Manikaran sahib. Overnight stay at Kasol.

Day 2Kasol to Kheerganga

Today after breakfast you start for Barsheni , the starting point of Kheerganga trek. It will take an hour to drive to Barsheni and from there Kheerganga trek will be started. The trek will take 5-6 hours and by evening you will reach Kheerganga top. Have your dinner. Overnight stay in tent.

Day 3Kheer Ganga - Barsheni - Kasol

Get up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise. Take a bath in hot spring again and after breakfast start backward journey to Barsheni. From Barsheni you will be taken to Bhuntar by cab .
