INTRODUCTION

Himachal Pradesh is one of the most toured states in India. The state has beautiful pristine snow clad mountains which are a major source of tourist attraction. Tourists from all over the world come to this glorious, unpolluted and serene place to nurture their mind and soul and cherish an unfathomable nature's beauty. The word 'Hima' means snow in Sanskrit and hence the name Himachal Pradesh which means 'In the lap of Himalayas'. The mountains of the state are used for many adventure sports. One among them that is considerably being carried out here is trekking.

EXPEDITION DETAIL

Day 1 Manali

On arrival in Manali,you chek in to a hotel,rest for a while if you wish to and then proceed on a sightseeing trip for the day with one of our team members/guides.This could also include a village tour or similar activities,if you so choose.

Day 2Manali to Vashist to Chhika 4-5hrs

Drive from Manali to Vashist village on the upper out skirts.Start trekking from Vashist to Chhika,passing through alpine forests,along the Hamta streams.Overnight in tent.

Day 3Chhika to Balu Gera 4-5hrs

Trek from Chhika to Balu Gera at the of Hamta Pass.Balu Gera literally means “bears” camp.Brown bears use the caves in this area to hibernate in winter.Overnight in tents.

Day 4Balu Gera to Hamta Pass(4200mts/13800ft) 4-5hrs.

A strenuous trek over Hamta Pass to Sia Goru provides stunning scenery .You can see Deo Tibba and Indrasen Peak of the greater Himalayas. This used to be the trade rout from China by Spiti to kullu and othr parts of the country.Overnight tent in Sia Goru.

Day 5Sia Goru to Chhatru 3-4hrs trek.

This day,s trek is welcome relaxtation after the previous day trek.Chhatru is a picturesque village surrounded by meadows and river Chandra flowing nearby.You are picked up of from the end point of the trek at Chhatru.

Day 6Trek to Chatru to manali drive 5-6 hrs.

Cross-stream near the camp and follow the right bank until it joins with the Chandra River. Again, cross the same stream by small wooden bridge. Now follow the left bank of Chandra River. 30 minutes later a motor able bridge to be cross to reach at the campsite of Chhatru. We will be pick up by our vehicle here and drive to Manali A 5-6hrs take you back to Manali,stay at Manali.

Day 7Delhi .

Arrivr delhi in the morning with sweeet memories.
